We’re here to support you in supporting the LGBTQ+ young person in your life

What to Expect

Our adult mentors undergo a thorough application process, including background and reference checks, and then participate in training.

After your youth is carefully matched to an LGBTQ+ adult mentor, we support them, and you, at every step.

Here’s what to expect if you have a youth aged 10-17 in our mentoring program

What Parents & Caregivers Are Saying

“Given the current climate, having someone more familiar than us with the daily challenges and how to navigate them has been very helpful for us as well. I can conduct research and ask friends, but I can't provide [child] with a lived experience that [mentor] can. ”

— Parent of current mentee

“Since starting with her mentor, [mentee] has felt more comfortable talking to me and her father about issues that she wouldn’t have prior to these sessions. This program is providing an invaluable service to kids who might otherwise have nowhere to turn and no one to open up to.”

— parent of former mentee

“Linked Mentoring Program has been a great resource for my 14-year-old son… there is so much knowledge that can be gained through lived experiences and one on one conversations. The mentors share their own stories and wisdom while listening closely. These consistent conversations are helping my son feel understood without judgment. Beyond that, the mentor is there to help my son become a better version of himself rather than trying to mold him. This type of support has been authentic and invaluable.”
