1. You’ll be invited to submit a contact form to share your interest in mentoring.

2. Jake, Dkèama, or one of our other team members will respond with a program application, which includes:

   • Why you’re interested in becoming a mentee.

   • What identities, experiences, and needs you’d like us to consider when matching you with a mentor.

3. You’ll have a conversation with someone on our team to get to know you. Then, we’ll begin the matching process!

   • This process can vary in length, but we will keep you updated along the way! It can sometimes take a little while to be matched, but this is just because we are working diligently to ensure that we make a great match!

4. While waiting to be matched, you will complete some orientation training so that you can learn more about Linked Mentoring, what it means to be a mentee, and our program’s values and expectations.

   • Depending on your age, your parent or guardian will sign a permission form for you to participate. If you need help with this step, our team will be there to support you.

5. Once matched, you’ll begin one-on-one weekly meetings with your mentor. During this time, you’re welcome to get to know each other, discuss topics that matter to you, and/or process questions about life.

6. You’ll also receive monthly check-ins with one of our match support specialists to ensure a mutually fulfilling and meaningful mentoring experience.
